Happy Friday #15

 Hello!

So it's Friday again and time for me to share the happy parts of my week with you again. The week started with my discovery of the Hopeful forum, a forum set up by YouTuber Carrie Hope Fletcher. This is a lovely lovely place with lots of friendly people eager to offer advice, discus TV shows, films, books, share there talents or just have a chat!

Next up it was time for me to give blood. This is something I like to do as often as I can, it could save someones life and you get biscuits! Always the ploy of food for me :P

The little dogs you can see through the window in the picture below were sat there waiting for there owner to finish giving blood all the time I was waiting. They were really well behaved and so cute!

Other things this week I have done that have made me smile have been; walking Harry in the sunshine, going for lunch with my Mum (lady's that lunch ooo aahh!) and crocheting this really colourful blanket for my new baby cousin!

So overall it has been another lovely week, what have you done this week that has made you happy?

Happy Friday #14

Hello!

My family mean the world to me so being home in the Isle of Man for a few weeks is fantastic. As much as I love England, my favourite place in the whole world is this little Island not only because of my family but also because it is so beautiful.

This week I have really enjoyed having my family around me, particularly over the last few days when my Mum has been off work and we have spend some special time together. We took our dog, Harry, for long walks, went to knitting shops and today we both watched Frozen for the first time! It's so lovely, I am going to be listening to the sound track for ages now! *goes to straight to Spotify*

Also this week I went to my friends farm for a good catch up and to walk her new puppy. It was a lovely walk by the sea, through field with lots of chat and a very cute puppy!

It's not only being with people I love that has made me happy this week, whilst my parents and brother are at work and school I am official dog walker. It actually breaks up my day of dissertation writing nicely and lets me have some fresh air with this lovely boy.

He really loves a squeaky tennis ball and tries to carry it with him on the walk but he has lost most of his teeth (he's almost 11!) so he struggles to keep it in his mouth which is quite funny to watch!

I am really loving this year of looking for the happy things in my life, I am finding that I don't have to even look anymore. I really am blessed :D

One last thing before I leave you, I tried making this Chocolate orange cheesecake brownie from the Sorted YouTube channel and it is the best brownie, no best cake, I have ever tasted! Go watch the video HERE!

What happiness has been in your life recently?
xx

Happy Friday #13

Hello!

Yes, today does happen to be a Wednesday but ssshhhhh. At the moment I am in fully "writing my dissertation" mode so I am finding it hard to find time to write these little additions to the Internet but I am currently taking a break from all the numbers, formulas and words such as enthalpy and NOx emissions for half an hour so I thought it was about time I got back up to date with this blog!

Last week was one that involved a LOT of travelling, I worked out that in the space of 7 days I visited 5 different cities and traveled for more than 24 hours on a mixture of trains and a boat! That may sound disgustingly horrible to many but although it made me incredibly tired I looked at it as an adventure. Looking out of the window of a train allows you to see so much of the country and any opportunity for me to see what the British Isles has to offer.

My first journey of the week was to London to go to the Harry Potter studio tour with my very good friend Ellie! It was an amazing day seeing Ellie and having a lovely Pottery day. I wrote a blog post on it last week HERE. It didn't exactly start off as planned though.... I was supposed to be getting a coach at 4:30am to London so I went to bed at 9pm and set 2 alarms like a good girl so you can imagine my horror when I woke up naturally at 6:30am, I had missed the coach! I was gutted I thought that was the end but after quickly phoning Ellie and getting some reassuring words she told me to get to the train station and travel that way instead. Although I ended up having to spend a bit more money it ended up being able to stay later meaning we could get food after our tour meaning I got to spend more time with a friend I rarely get to see so in a way it worked out better in the end :D

My next journey took me too the midlands for an interview. Due to lectures the day before and the day after I went there and back in a day so that meant 8 hours on trains but looking on the brightside of that day it gave me lots of time to enjoy the countryside and my interview went ok so overall a positive day.

My final journey was my return home to the Isle of Man for easter! Getting the boat from Liverpool meant I was able to meet up with a friend who is at University there so we spent a day full of chat and cupcakes. Finishing that day of by returning to the Isle of Man made the day even better, I really do love this Island.
